Preamble

"We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America."

The Preamble is speaking to the "common man." It clearly puts into writing that the people are the creators of the Constitution. How many times have we actually thought about the impact of the words, "by the people, and for the people?" It is one of those statements that we have heard for what seems like our entire lives. But the impact of those few, simple words seems to be taken for granted by many in our country. The Framers had every generation of Americans in their best interests when they wrote the Constitution, which is clearly evident in the way that as the country grows and changes the Constitution can change and adapt as well to specifically suit the needs of America and her people at the same time.
